Google defines upcycling as "The act of taking something no longer in use and giving it a second life and new function."
For me, upcycling is a way of life—a creative outlet and a way to flex my maker capabilities. As Plato aptly said, "Necessity is the mother of invention," a motto I live by. While most of my creations aren't strictly necessary, they are unique. I believe that the cost of buying new items often isn't justified, making upcycling both an economical and innovative choice.

I needed a lot of power at my table running three screens a PC and two 3D Printers so I got this older server power rack changed the wiring and connector, slapped on a new coat of paint and mounted it to the underside of the table.
Back in the day economical PC cases weren't available in Pakistan. We only got branded ones at that time that costed almost the same as the internals! Which was out of budget for a university student such as myself. So I used the chassis from an old Pentium III PC I had lying around and hammered out a front panel out of Mild Steel sheet, with holes for buttons and a mesh covered front vent.
I made this for a Halloween/costume party back in 2014 using some LED's. Using a torch as a base and butter paper to diffuse the light. This was my first experience working with melting and bending plastics to achieve the shape I wanted.
